In 2015, BenQ Corporation continued to cultivate its enterprise vision "realize the truth, goodness and beauty of IT life" and steps into the four areas: L.I.F.E from 3C products via diversified operation. BenQ expects to provide better digital fashionable life, highly-efficiently enterprise operation, complete and advanced medical equipment service and educational learning with more agile applications. It also expects to live up to its enterprise responsibility amid the pursuit of profits and growths, delivering a proactive and positive influence over the society and public.
In economic performance, the overall market slowed slightly due to global information electronic product demand growth stagnation. Responding to situation of the low-end product market size reduction, BenQ held its product strategy of migration to high-end and high value-added products. Take its two major products, for example, the company kept on developing and growing its LCD monitor sales in high-end professional, gaming and large-size monitors while moving toward the product direction of various new functions, differentiation and special application. For projectors, BenQ reached its goal of selling one million units globally in 2014 and cultivated customer requirement experiences in 2015, focusing on four areas: education, home-use, business and professional engineering models while developing toward high-brightness, high-resolution and small, lighter models. In 2015, BenQ kept its positions of world's number two projector brand and top DLP brands.
In environmental management, BenQ continues to consider overall product delivery and usage phase environmental impacts during product R&D phase such as energy saving, package reduction and easy-to-recycle designs with product life cycle thinking. With improvement of various segments, BenQ creates green products that are environmental-friendly and have lower impact on the environment to respond to stakeholder expectation. The company also regularly receives verification from third-party to realize execution of environmental management. In 2015, BenQ won awards such as the "Business A Team Excellence Award" of Taipei Energy-saving Leadership Award, "Carbon-Reduction Action Excellence Award" from Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) and "Energy Management Excellence Award" from Taipei Energy Management Institute, displaying recognition from external parties for BenQ's environment-related energy-saving and carbon-reduction plans.
In the social aspect, we believe that talent is the key to corporate growth. Therefore, BenQ cultivates employee creativity and competitiveness while further accumulating strength for the company by devoting to various trainings and creating a safe and care-free working environment. In the meantime, we bring influence over the society via brand strength, combining own technologies as the assisting teaching tools, while inviting Xihu Elementary School to use interactive digital white board, DIY 3D glasses and projectors, etc. to help understand difficult science theories in a simple method.
